We have a number of useful Hill walking downloads on our main website.

They include a selection of navigation aids, a full route card and a cut down (less formal) route card. Weather forecasting and cloud ID flowcharts and a sheet for tracking weather and avalanche hazard.

	Navigation in the mountains is the book from Mountain Training. The first edition came out in 2012 and is packed full of everything you need to know. It can be bought from the BMC Shop
	Hill walking is the official handbook of the Mountain training Mountain Leader Award. It covers lots more than just navigation. If you are serious about hill walking and mountaineering then take a look at this book. You can buy it from the British Mountaineering council shop, There are two versions for sale. The second edition and also the third edition.
